COLLABORATING PARTNERSHIPS & A CUP OF COFFEE

I first met Geoff Leng in the mid 90s where in a previous working life we had travelled around Europe developing induction sealing packaging solutions mainly for the Agricultural Chemical industry. When Geoff set up CAPSolutions in the late 90s, I followed his business with great interest, meeting up with him on occasion over a cup of coffee, bumping into each other at trade shows, sharing industry titbits over the telephone. Both of us were heavily involved in this unique packaging sector, although our career paths had gone in very separate directions over the years.

Here we are 25 years later and we have come full circle working again together with the same energy and excitement we always had. Over the years, CAPSolutions had successfully developed, manufactured and marketed premium quality hand-held induction equipment that had become highly regarded within the European industry. This new partnership started to form when BMi recently launched its new development, the HANDMASTER™ to explain further?

Short run contract packing has grown significantly in recent years. Ensuring that quality is maintained, especially when you are relying on so many manual operations is of key importance. Supplying the HANDMASTER™ alongside the CAPSolutions hand-held induction sealer as a single package made perfect sense, ensuring that repeatable quality was maintained, which we are all after. So the collaboration has begun again with my old friend and it is growing from strength to strength.

We still meet for coffee and share industry titbits, spending time to reflect on the changes that have occurred within our industry over the two plus decades that we have been involved, but more importantly having fun and just being

part of those changes brings its awards.
